Organizations Seeking Grants:

Our grant making focuses on improving the lives of older adults living in the greater New York area. 

Criteria:

Organization must be based in New York City and its surrounding areas (including Long Island)

Grants are given to support programs, not for operating expenses

Organization must be a registered 501c3

There is no minimum or maximum amount required to be requested

There is no limit to the amount of requests that can be sent each year

The following documents must be included in the grant request:

     - 501c3 letter

     - 990

     - Audited Financials or Current year budget
 

Grant applications are not eligible if they: 

     - do not include the mission of the organization

     - fail to provide a budget for the requested amount detailing how it will be

       utilized 

     - request multi-year or recurring grants 

     - are requested by or for individuals 

Giving Cycle:

Gemiluth Chessed distributes grants on a rolling basis. There is no deadline for submission and once submitted the process should take 4-6 weeks.
